Hi people,
I am very new to all of this so I apologise in advance if this question is a silly one.
I would like to create a custom brush that fades into the background of a picture. Is this possible and how would I go about doing this?? Any help would be much appreciated!
I use CS4 for your information.
Thanks!

Could you better explain what you mean by "fades into the background". I know I am unsure of what you are wanting. Sure others are too. = ) |

Custom brushes are typically black and white: the black is solid paint and the white is transparent. To get a semi-transparent, you use gray.
So to get a fade into the background, get a blurry edge on your image before you define the brush. For example:
1. make a selection on a white background
2. go to Select > Modify > Feather
3. enter a pixel amount and click OK
4. fill the selection with black (Edit > Fill)
5. Edit > Define Brush _________________ Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver tutorials at http://www.bluelobsterart.com. |
