What would be the best way to create this old/distressed kond of look to a picture?

If its colour.
Desaturate. Edit the levels. Add some overlayed scratched brushed. Put grunge brushes around the edge. Add a radial gradient from black to transparent.

im trying yo get that kind of old distressed look like how there are scratches and stuff around it. Also brushes would be good if you could tell me some good ones to get. |

1. Desaturate
2. Adjust Levels
3. Use Photo Filter (Sepia)
4. Use Grunge Edge brushes
For the brushes I recommend:
1. Grunge Edge Brushes by =Neonescence
2. Freebie - Grunge Corners and Edges Photoshop Brush Pack 2
3. Border iii by ~struckdumb
4. Border vi by ~struckdumb
5. grunge with border by ~flinkle
6. Freebies - Corners and Edges Photoshop Brush Pack 1
