is there ANY way to crop an image into say a triangle or circle?
i want to make a triptych with some sort of shape to have a triangle in the upper corner... a triangle in the middle... and another one on the other side.

so like an / /\ \ sort of dealio

can anyone help me or give me a method that they use / have used in the past in order to make this work?
or would it be easier to crop them in rectangles and then draw big white lines to mae the triangular cropping effect?

ANY help would be appreciated
-Mat

Hi Mat, Here's one way. Go to the custom shape tool (hidden behind the rectangle tool on the toolkit). Click on the tiny triangle next to "shape" at the top of the screen. Choose a solid triangle by clicking on it. Draw that triangle out on your image, whatever size you need. Now go to the Paths panel/palette, and click on the third button from the left "Load path as a selction". You will get a triangular selection. Hold down the ctrl key and press the J key. A new layer will appear in the Layers panel/palette which will contain just the area inside your triangle. You can do this with a wide variety of shapes, and of course you can pick up endless shapes free on the net or draw your own. Let me know how you get on. Cheers, vampirelover.
