I found this nice picture of a cartoon on the internet and i want to remaster it.

The way i used to do this is make a few layers, put the background as top and click on my other layer which is white. I used the pen tool to trace the real image and it will appear on my blank layer. When i do this i cant see the lines i trace on the oringinal layer.

I need a way to trace an image, make it appear on another layer, al possibly have the lines show up on my oringinal image as a trace, its kinda hard to not be able to see what your tracing.

Also i colour afterwards. :) im kinda new just benice with my questions Big Grin

Make the background of the image your trace lines are being drawn on transparent. That way the only thing you will see are the trace lines.
