Hey everyone, I run my dads online jewelry store and I need a tutorial for some photo editing with photo shop. I need a tutorial on how to make the background of the pictures i take completely white without it looking all chopped up and ugly. Heres a link to one i did http://nonos-jewelry.com/catalog/images/sherrifwomensring.jpg i Think it came out pretty nice but i dunno you guys tell me. I cant seem to get it this good for all items so if someone can give me a professional tutorial it would be great.
Thanks guys |

I would suggest adding a "levels" adjustment layer to your image, and then tweak this levels effect to "blow out" the background.
look into "levels" and "adjustment layers"
you can also use the "Image/Adjustments/Levels to do this, but this alters your original pixels. not the ideal way to go. _________________ For great Photoshop tutorials and freebies, check out www.iammrknowitall.com |

I'm not a pro, but maybe let us see one before you have edited it. Would make it easier to come up with a plan of attack to get the best results.
