|
|
I can create text on a path in Indesign easily enough but keep running into the same problem in Photoshop CS4.
I create a curved path with the pen tool but when I click on it with the type tool a little circle is created on the path that stops me typing fully along the path - i can only type up to the circle.
I've hi-lighted the circle in this screen grab.
I'd like to type "text on a path" but the circle prevents me typing anymore words once the letters "text" have reached the circle and an x appears in the circle.
I keep getting this problem on any curved paths I make.
I'm probably making a very basic error. Any solution?

You need to grab that circle with the white arrow tool I think, it may be while you have the text tool, but if not try the white arrow tool and drag that circle to the end of the path _________________ For great Photoshop tutorials and freebies, check out www.iammrknowitall.com |

If i switch to direct election tool the circle just becomes a solid black circle - can't be moved along the path at all.
I'm still struggling with this problem after days of practice with the type/pen tools! Every curved path I make, then click with the type tool, that circle will appear somewhere along the path preventing me typing along it fully. |

The black selection tool, or the "path selection" tool NOT the "Move" tool will allow you to select the circle and the "direct selection" tool, or white arrow will allow you to edit the path by manipulating the handles of points and extending and shortening the path. _________________ For great Photoshop tutorials and freebies, check out www.iammrknowitall.com |
