Hi everyone.. (My 1st post here!)
Alright i'm having a problem involving creating a star filled space sky with CS4. I'm attempting to follow this:
http://www.freephotoshop.ca/tutorials/effects/photoshop-space-and-planet-tutorial
I add the noise, but when I attempt to do the brightness/contrast, it shows it the way I want it to be in the preview, but when I actually apply it, it just shows a lot more noise! Anyone want to help me out?
Thanks a lot,
Matthew

Try this method:
Make a new layer and fill it with black (alt+backspace). Add noise in the range of 220-250%. Then add the Blur More filter.
Now add a levels adjustment layer and move the black point slider to the right. Adjust it till you get the look you want.
