I am new to photoshop, and bought Issue 56 of Advanced Photoshop. I am trying to do a step by step workshop (page 63 incase someone has it) I am using CS4. I have tried doing this multiple times, but am having problems with my mode settings. It is set to RBG, but one step will only work in 32 bit... but will then delete one of my layers.

Example. I need it at 32 bit for Adjustments>Variations to work, but then it deletes my Select>color range layer... it seems like no matter Which bit/channel I select I can't do this workshop. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Thank you.

Try using 8 bit instead. BTW, you can acheive the same results and have more control with adjustment layers, hue/saturation curves, etc.
