Hi there!

I am trying to create an exact text or font style as the buttons on apple.com website. Please take a look at their website:

http://www.apple.com/startpage/

You will see their main navigation buttons and how the text or font are somehow stamped into the background with highlighted around the text or font. I have attached an image of the buttons from apple.com website to show you what I am talking about.

So far, I tried the Bevel and Emboss and got nothing even close to it. Anyone of you know how to make text or font looks just like apple.com?

Thanks for any advice!!!!!!

Hi Creativemind,

The background of the buttons are a gradient.
And the text, it's got a white drop shadow. Here's how to do it:

Add the Drop Shadow effect with the following settings:

Blend mode: Screen
Color: white
Angle: 90
Distance: 1
Size: 1

That's it!

Hi rogermota!

Thanks for your help but it looks quite blurry with your settings. I have attached an image straight from photoshop CS3.

Please let me know if there are other settings to try.

Thanks!!!!!!!

For some reasons, it does not look as clean or crisp as the buttons on apple.com website.

On the apple.com website, their fonts looks like it is stamped in or embossed in to the background. I am still trying the Bevel and Emboss and see what else I can do.

Maybe change the font color to black, or dark gray,

Also you might try the bevel & emboss instead of drop shadow

Creativemind,

As Salvadore said, you need the font color to be dark to contrast with the white drop shadow. Also, experiment with "size 0" on the setting.
