I made a document 7.3" x 5" and copied and pasted text from a word document. The first time I did it normally, the second time I drew a text box in order to align both the left and right columns. Both times the document printed out with the text in terrible quality. The text was set to "smooth" and I printed at 100%, regular quality (not "Econo Mode" or the likes). I tried both faux bold and normal.

I tried various fonts to see if it was a font problem but no better. I also tried two different printers, so I know it's a photoshop or printer command issue.

Seriously, what idotic thing is going wrong? I've never had issues in the past.

well, that is strange.

first thing, make sure you don't have any special text formatting in your word doc.

second thing would be to go to your PS preferences and make sure that the "Resize image when paste/place" is checked.

also make sure you have created a 300 dpi file in PS if you only use 72 dpi, it will not print at a high quality.

hope this helps
