Images not opening as they should

Ive just opened my photoshop CS4 for the very first time and I have already ran into an issue. When creating a blank canvas this appears i have random patterns appear, that cannot be removed. And when opening images from my documens shaded triangles cover 90% of the image.

Here is an example of each of the two:



Any help will be much appreciated.

First things first, make sure to update your video drivers and check Adobe for any program updates.

If you still have problems, check the Adobe Photoshop forum for CS4.
