I know you can save layer styles easily and apply them to other layers.
Can you do the same thing for fonts? I tried to make a tool preset, but I heard an error bleep whenever I clicked the new preset button and had the flashing typing bar in the text I wanted to save. Any ideas? This would save me a few hours of work this summer. |

You can save a text style if that's what you're asking.
Just like for layers, it's done in layer styles. Open the text effects in the styles palette first and add it there. |

Thanks for taking the time to reply.I know that you can apply outer glow and drop shadow to text, and save these settings to apply them to other type layers. I'm wondering if I can save font and letter spacing and the space between lines (all the numbers in the character panel.) |

You can in CS3. Type the text, open the Char/Paragraph palette and make the changes. Close the palette, then open the tool preset picker. Click the flyout and select New Tool Preset. |
