Hello all. I am new to Photoshop. I started using it because I wanted to make some cool forum signatures. :)

I have made this one today, It is for Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which is one of my favourite games. I know that it is very basic but just wanted to post it and see what everyone thinks, and things that I could improove on.

Please post any tips and tricks that can help with making good signatures.

I also have a few questions about the signature I made today.

1) How can I make the black backround a different colour without altering ANY of the effects and text on the image.

2) What other things can I do to this picture to improve it? Please give me detailed instructions.

Thanks for all your help in advance. Big Wink

Here is the picture:

The only thing I would offer up is to do a little something with the text. Outer Glow or even take the text and rasterize it and then try out some of the filters on it and see if anything strikes you as better.

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the sig as is. It looks pretty cool ... nice work.

Ooo, thanks for the feedback! Big Grin

Could you explain steps to do what you said with the text? I'm a noob. Confused

Great job, I like it. If you're creating stuff like this as a newbie, then you've got a bright future ahead of you!
