So I have a company name, a logo and a tag line on my template. In order to move them, to find the best position for them, I have to click on each layer to move it. How do I group them so that when I click on the group they all move at the same time?

Thank you!

Ctrl+click to select multiple layers in the palette.

I'm clearly doing something wrong because I read somewhere that that is the way to do it but for some reason it doesn't work for me.

What I did is select the first layer, then I hold down ctrl, then click on the 2nd layer but I'm only able to move the layer that I clicked on first Confused

I'm not sure if CS allows the selection of multiple layers, I know PS7 didn't. Does the palette indicate that multiple layers are selected? (Are they all highlighted?)

No the 2nd layer is not selected - it isn't highlighted. So I guess this version does not have that option. Bawling

It wasn't until CS2 that you could select multiple layers. In original CS to do what you want, you can just link the layers together with the little check box next to the layer visibility check box. Select one of the layers that you wish to move and then click the link box on the other layers you wish to move with it.
