Hello, I have to go through and extract/delete the backgrounds of about 230 photos. Each and every one I have to go through multiple save dialogs, choose compression, etc. Is there a way that I could simply overwrite the original file with the one that I deleted the background from, thus saving a large amount of time in my workflow?

i don't see how you can as surely each image is different so therefore will require different selections.

you can set up actions for various tasks but i don't think it would work for selection.

Said actions may or not be useful, I'm not sure if I can set up actions to automate it. The "file handling" section in the preferences window does not have anything that would be useful either as far as I am aware.
