Hi, i'm a begginner in photoshop and have a problem with selections. I have to cut diferent parts of a picture and split it in various files (png's with transparency). Later i have to merge this files to obtain the original picture.
My problem is cutting and selecting the original picture. When i create the png with the selecion I obtain the selection + a gradient to white wich overlap other images finally.
Is there any way to paste this selection without this gradient?
Thanks and sorry for my English. |

I don't know your entire workflow, nor do I understand where you getting a gradient. But it seems to me you'd do better putting cut each item in it's own layer and saving the file as a psd.
If you need a separate png file for each item, make a new file for each and drag the appropriate layer into it, then save it in png format. |

I'm not sure what you mean by a selection plus a gradient, unless you mean that the selection edges are not sharp. If that's the case, make sure the feathering (in the options bar) is set to zero when you make the selection. Also, you might try using the Contrast control under Select > Refine Edge.
Hope this is helpful. |
