Hi all!

A few weeks ago I made some pictures of a WW2 willys jeep. This jeep has been modified to look like a desert rat used by the SAS in North Africa.

I thought it would look really cool to ad some smoke trails from a burning fire in the background Big Wink

The only problem is I have no idea how to perform it. I searched on google for a while but I couldn't find a suitable tutorial anywhere.

This is the kind of smoke trail I'm after:

It would be really nice if you could help me!

Thanks!!! Angel

EDIT: this is one of the pictures where I would like to ad the smoke:

I'd suggest rendering clouds and after a few filters it will look like smoke. You're going to have a really hard time getting that smoke out of the picture and inserting it in the 2nd one.

Render clouds and play around with them and you can get a decent looking smoke. Here is a quick 5 minute example.

Nice example of my idea. The top ridge looks pretty rough though... I'd make a color range selection of the blue sky, with maybe a slight feather, then insert the clouds into that.

I re-made the smoke to make the ridge look more natural. What bdbolin is saying is to make a selection of the sky, to put the clouds in, using the color range dialogue box under the select menu. In the first image, I used the magic wand to select out the sky and didn't spend any additional time refining the selection. Which is why the first example looks pretty bad LOL
