I'm really interested to know how to create this effect in Photoshop Elements CS4...
Back when I used Paint.NET for my image editing, I could easily fill with basic patterns like diagonal lines, vertical lines, horozontal lines, and many others. In the case of the above photo, this is what I would have done in Paint.NET:
1. Start with the green-ish background image.
2. Create a new layer.
3. Fill the entire layer with diagonal, black lines, similar to the way I'd fill with a colour -- there's a dropdown menu in Paint.NET that allows you to choose a pattern, lines being some of the fill options.
Is there a similar method of creating a background like this in PSE CS4? There MUST be, I just can't figure it out...
