|

Hello everyone!
I am a control systems programmer(control systems for boardrooms and home automation systems). We often use photoshop to generate graphics for our Graphical User Interfaces.
I currently have the need to use 'transparent bitmaps' (I am not able to use transparent PNG'S or GIFS for this specific User Interface because of limitations of the touch panel) for a graphical user interface that I am designing...
I open up a png with a transparent background(I have attached it to this message) in photoshop. I then add a background layer and use the paintbrush tool to make the background layer pink(255,0,255). I then save the whole image as a bitmap and then import that bitmap into my graphical user interface design.
The software that I use to build the GUI's sees the pink background and I set the bleed colour to pink in that software, which in turn makes the background transparent.
The PROBLEM is that the edges around the circular button don't come out nicely...you see a little bit of pink around the edges and the edges are jagged as well. I have attached a screenshot to this message to illustrate what I mean.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance

It sounds like an issue with the GUI software not completely ignoring the pink. I don't know what could be done in PS to help.
