Add the type then rasterize the layer and add a bevel and emboss style. Loch the transparnecy then just a stroke of white for accent.

Seems to be fairly close - the one I posted seems to have a few different touches to it that what you've done, but it's fairly close.

I would say that the 1st image uses channels and lighting effects, a sort of bump map method.
