Hi There-
I have a simple question that I am sure is an easy fix, but I am having a senior moment and can't remember how to get it done. I have a blue "X" and I need to place various sports symbols (i.e. a football, soccer ball, etc.) over top of the "X", but I can't figure out how to do it. The "X" is in a jpeg format and so are the sports symbols.
Also, I need a suggestion on how to crop around a socer ball only leaving the ball in view and not the box that it is in. I tried to use the elliptical tool to select the outside of the ball, but I don't remember what to do from there.
Thanks for looking and I hope you can help me with these two simple requests.
Sincerely- Doug |

To get the ball you'll need to switch to the Lasso tool (shortcut: L), zoom in and select the ball then copy it. Same for any other symbols that you need to extract from a background. |

If the sports symbols are against a single colour background you can use the Magic Wand tool to select it. Then invert the selection and copy and paste the ball over the top of the X. Do this with all the symbols and you will have them each on a new layer. |

1. You should see numerous layers in for your work on the right. One layer for each image/symbol.
2. Select magic wand tool. Click white box around symbol. Click delete key.
3. Arrange layers to have desired symbol on top.
This is only if your images are not all in one canvas already.
