As a newbie to Photoshop, I have recently been painting in grayscale using brushes, and I now feel confident enough to move up to the next level; color painting. Is it better to paint with colored brushes as in traditional painting or is it better to paint in all grayscale and then add color? |

The former my friend. Not to diminish Photoshops fine range of art tools, you might want to look into a demo (initially) of Corel's Painter series of software, if you are seriously into your natural media.
