I'm trying to create an animated logo, which comprises of a 3D sphere, which I created by making a simple layer and converting it into a sphere, which I rotate on the Z axis with a 360 degree animation loop.

However, I want to now take a logo and place it on the sphere so that it is "stuck" onto the front and moves with it - however, I do not want to directly insert the logo onto the base image used for the sphere, since I want the sphere to be at 50% opacity, but the logo to be at 100%

Any idea how I do this? If you need more explaining I'll do my best, but I really can't seem to work this out!

Thank you
