so my problem is that, when i open an picture that i want to edit i can see it to the right in the menu,but in the main screen i cant see nothing its all gray,i tried everything but i cant get it to work.I have and a screenshot of my problem.My pc has 2 gb ddr2 ram,nvidia 9600 gt 512 mb and AMD Athlon x2 6000+ (3.00 ghz)

What file format is the image? Can you list the details about it?

Hmmm that's odd.
Try hitting RL ALT DELETE and opening up the task manager. Now go to processes and select photoshop.exe. Now press the 'ed process' button to force Photoshop to quit. Now close the task manager and restart Photoshop, any better?

It looks like you are trying to open a file not supported by Photoshop(?) .DDS seems to be a DirectX file extension, although I am not definate this is fact, it might be a good starting point.

it's .dds file. you can get a plug-in from nVidia for Photoshop
