I'm on a Mac, OS 10.6.2. A couple weeks ago, out of the blue, Photoshop CS3 became buggy. Froze. Couldn't Quit. (had to use Force Quit) So I reloaded CS3 from the original install disk. Seemed to fix the problem.

But now I can't open raw files I've shot with my Canon 40D in Photoshop or Bridge - grayed out. I get a "Photoshop does not recognize this type of file". They still load in Lightroom AOK. But I can still load raw images from a Canon G9.

Any suggestions?

thanks Confused

Youll need to download and install the ACR update to handle 40D raw files. It wouldn't be on the original disc.

Thanks very much. You're right. I forgot to download the latest version of ACR when I reinstalled CS3. Version 4.6 did the trick.

thanks again
