Water over Bottom Layer

Hello - I have a water sprinkler image I want JUST the sprinkes to go over the top of the bottom layer .. I have no I dea how to get it like this - any help would be greatly appreciated . Thanks.

Ill try to attach example - oh I cant ( too big )- I will split images up and link to them i guess -

So the BLUE is my TOP layer in PS CS3 - and I want ONLY the water sprinkles to go over the top of the BLUE top layer .... The picture of sprinkler is on bottom - I dont know how to get just the water spitting ontop the blue without grabbing the grass and all that ....

It will be next to impossible to select just the water spray in that photo.

I managed to get this using the options below, it may help.



Selected the whitest part of the spray, subtract grass reflections etc, refine edge
