Hi I have photoshop CS3 right
Ok I have a document right and I need to alter the document a bit with the same font. Now how can I do this? Can I type with the same font thats already in the document? is there any way to do this?

Do you have the font that you want to copy? I am guessing not, first thing is to identify the font, if it is free or commercial.
If you can't identify it or don't want to purchase it you could trace the outlines in PS with the Pen Tool.
But there is no way to dissemble a raster image of text into editible vectors (text).

Also if it comes to building your own letters, someone with Illustrator might be able to help you to generate the vectors PS can't. |
