All,

I just put together a new computer. For the monitor, I am using a NEC MultiSync monitor. One of the selling features is the ability to use a colorimeter to directly calibrate the LUTs within the monitor itself.

As I started thinking about this (always a bad plan), it occurred to me that the software which comes with the colorimeter (X-Rite I1 Display 2) can also create color profiles for use with PS.

So, my newbie/naive question is this: What is the relationship/process for using SpectraView (for monitor calibration) with (?) color profiles?

Thank you.
