Hi, I a newby to the CS4 world. I've got the basics, and I've been playing around with different tutorials. I came across this header, and I thought the picture blend was neat, but I have no idea how to achieve it. Also, how do I make the swirls? Thank you!

I can't get attach just the header, so here's the website it's located on. www.baileycattleco.com

Open photo, add a new layer. Press Shift+G or G twice depending upon your config. , this will bring up the Gradient Fill in the context sensitive toolbar. Select Transparent to Fill Gradient and draw a line on the new layer, you will see the result.

The swirl looks like a brush or other shape that is added with blend modes etc.
