First of all, hi, i'm new.

Secondly, I want to place some bumper stickers on an image of the back of a car. I'm doing my best to make it look realistic by altering the colors so they match with the photo and adding a touch of noise, but they still look so fake.

any suggestions? How can I apply a filter similar to plastic wrap but doesn't highlight the details of the text on the sticker? Just something to make them look shiny?

Shiny = reflections

Example: I copied the sticker to a new layer, they added a white gradient on another new layer clipped to the sticker copy below it, then lowered the opacity. You can also create shadows using black if need be.

This example is on a flat surface. If your's is contoured you'll want the reflection(s) and shadow(s) to follow the countours of the surface below to look realistic.

Hope this helps.
