Hey there,
I am having a problem and it is not the first time it has happened. I have mac os x 10.6 (the latest) and am using Photoshop CS4. When I single left click on a tool such as the eyedropper tool it opens the sub menu showing me color sampler tool, ruler tool, etc.. I do not hold it down and I do not right click, it just opens. As you can imagine it is really really annoying. Anyone else ever have this problem and managed to fix it? I have tried deleting prefs and pressing Command+Option+Shift to reset photoshop. Praying I do not have to re-install. Thank you in advance!

As far as I know that's its function. Unless anyone knows anything different.

Thank you for the quick response. But this is not the how the tool menu works. Normally, if working properly, you have to hold down on the tool to access the sub-menu. When you single click on the tool (not hold it down) it just selects that tool. Frown

Try hot-keys for Photoshop, it will speed up your work flow.

Not that it helps you much for now.

I have a Mac OS X and it works fine for me : ) but the best way to get reed of this problem is to use shortcuts all the time, it will make you fast and better.

I'm sorry I couldn't help you in your problem, just try to re-install...
