hi all,
Thank you for taking the time to answer this. I'm new and generally confused by a few things in photoshop.
I have an image of a model that is 1600 x 1284 pixels. What I'm looking to do is shrink it down to the size of the model's head that can be found here: http://www.sevenbarfoundation.org/media/ the image is 205x110.
The picture I have is also a full body picture of the model. I just need her head as it appears in those images on the webpage.
Every time I try to do this in photoshop the image comes out distorted. I think it is because of the constrained dimensions.
Any help would be great, and I can elaborate as needed. thank you again. |

- open the file that is on the web site
- go to File / Place and select the second file
- press Enter (will turn layer into smart object)
- turn that new layer into a clipping layer (move cursor between layers while holding down Alt)
- resize that layer (Ctrl + T) while holding down the shift key (to constrain proporrtions) until you have the crop you want, press Enter
