hi,
i make the calendar for my church on photoshop (im sure one of the other adobe programs would probably be better, but im most confortable with ps)
i was woundering...since a calendar has a lot of repetition such as "Men's Softball 6am" every monday
is there a way that i could type that once then duplicate it 4 or 5 times
ANDDDD
if i were to edit the original, the duplicates would follow changes? |

After you've typed the text, right click it in your layers palette and select "Convert to smart object".
You then need to make duplicates of this smart object by dragging it and dropping it on the "Create a new layer" icon at the bottom of your layers palette. Use the move tool to move them into place.
If the text has to be changed, then all you have to do is change the text in one smart object (doesn't matter which one) and the other cloned objects will automatically change too.
It would be also a good idea to use a grid/guides to line of all the elements of your calendar. |
