Hi all,
I'm new to the forums, been using photoshop for about 4 years, nothing serious. I have recently decided to start my own logo design company after some recommendations from people I have helped out for free.

After reading a few tutorials and guides on vector format and bitmap I THINK I have got the information right, can someone clarify if this is right:

For example I am making a logo, I found a great photoshop shape pack and some good brushes to make this. Would they be vector?

If I use an image without using pen to vector trace it is this bitmap?

What if I create a square box in photoshop and rasterize it to edit it, will this become a bitmap?

How can I tell if something is vector or not? If I make a new layer and place a photoshop shape on it and colour it in and shade it etc... is this vector?

Any advice is greatly appreciated as i'm confused! Confused

Thanks,
James.

The best file to save it as for vector is EPS?
