Hi There-

Please excuse me for I am having a senior moment (no offense to the seniors out there) but I have a great black and white photo of a flower that is about 85 % black in the background and I want to change the rest without touching or altering the flower itself, I guess I'm saying I want the flower to stay the way it is cause it looks great on the edges against the black.

But I can't remember for the life of me how to do this. Could someone please explain it to me???

Thanks for your time-

Sincerely- Doug

Hey grandpa :) , if by change the rest you mean you want the background to be 100% black then it is just a case of selecting the unwanted white area and filling it with black. This is done using any of the various selection methods then pressing shift+F5 to 'fill' the selected area.

If the background is not really pure black, you may have more luck using the clone stamp tool or the eyedropper + brush tools.
