I'm looking to find out what any of you professionals would consider an average wage for someone working as a Photoshop editor. Here's what I do: I work for a company that has a large online retail presence. We photograph all the products we sell on a white background. I then color correct, tonal correct, crop, resize, mask out and copy products onto a clean white background layer and add a fake drop shadow. We also do 360 degree product imaging where we shoot 16 separate images and then bring them all into one file to color and tone correct with adjustment layers. Much of this work is done with actions I built but each product takes an individual touch for color correcting and cutting out. Finally, I upload all the stuff on our website's backend and catalog an archive of past shoots.

I want to know what you think this labor is worth, or better yet, what an average wage would be.

Thanks,

Sean

Welcome to the forum hoffsta.

What you are asking is a tough if not impossible question to either cover or answer with any efficacy. It could be answered in a variety of ways. Where are you located? What age and experience are you? (the experience being the pertinent). How long have you been at your current work position?

If you have a qualification or experience to the equivalence of a Q. then it could make a difference, but then to some it may not, it's a poisoned chalice either way.

You are worth in effect what you are being paid, until you come up with a better pay model and make it a success. Don't wish to sound discouraging or unhelpful....soo... in today's climes 15-35 GBP per hour.
