Aloha all.. Just wondering, is there a way I can set up something in Photoshop or a keyboard shortcut ( Script ) etc, where I can hit something and it will save it as a .jpeg at the best quality in the directory I want it, but still be able to name the file??

I am doing screen shots of a show for my website and have over 2000 images.. Issue is, everytime I want to save the layer as a jpeg I have to go to save as, then go to the directory i want, change it to jpeg instead of psd and name it the file I want as the jpeg.. Then as soon as it does, it opens back to the psd but at the top where I am working from bottom up to save in order..

Hopefully people understand what I mean.. Thanx..

You can create an action and assign a function key shortcut to it.

Use the function key option where you name the action.

Yep used that.. I have set it to ctl+F12 and it half does it.. It saves as jpeg but only opens it to one of my main folders.. Trying to get it to open and save to a folder within that folder.. Thanx..

Actually worked it out.. Ended up saving the .psd file in the folder I wanted to save the .jpgs to..

But is there a way I can save .jpgs and not have it go back to the top of the layers.. I'm saving from screen shot 1 up, but when saved it puts me back to the 2000 odd..
