Does it works here? Sometimes when the system WinXP is blocked has no choice but to restart. Unsaved work is lost, it is very unpleasing. In preferences I can not find it, can anything be done? I wonder where it stores a scratch or tmp files? Maybe I could pull out of it?
thanks for any advice
Peter

Autosave would be a monumentally bad idea in Photoshop, the ideal is to save your work in various stages or versions, it autosaving when I was experimenting would not be cool. Get into the habit of saving often it's only a millisecond of your time.

Found this if you think it would help, don't say I didn't warn you ;) Photoshop Autosave
