Hi I have put a black border around this image to better portray the jagged line I am getting when applying a stroke to this image. Is there anyway to avoid this? I used the pen tool to get the shape. Thanks.

Thanks .. did you create the image in photoshop? I recreated it at 300 resolution? And it made no difference still jagged edges. Some-one else has suggested I recreate it in illustrator but I am not as familiar with Illustrator. _________________ Kimberley Web Design

Hi wotnow. It's an intruiging problem, I had a go and tried to reproduce it but couldn't work out what steps you might have used. Photoshop is perfectly capable of producing smooth lines, so there is something being missed here.
When you say you applied the stroke, what steps did you use? For example, "stroke" could mean stroking the path itself using the path palette, or it could mean using edit>stroke or it could mean using a layer style.
Also, I assume that the black border is the stroke but that you don't really want it black in your final work.
If you try duplicating what you did, but note it down step by step and post it here, I'm sure we'll work it out. Sometimes it can be just a niggly little thing that isn't set quite right. |
