If I want to design my own 3d e-book covers can this be done using PSE9 or would I need to buy some other software?

Hi, do you mean like an anaglyph? Here's what I mean when I say anaglyph, there are loads of resources out there if the link I provided is not sufficient.

No but this will be useful at other times. What I really want is the cover of the book to be in a 3d format.

Do you have an example you could show us or point to?

Whilst none of the following links give you exactly the effect that you are after, it doesn't take much of a leap to string the effects together to create the one you're after, with that said.....

3D Book Icon
Depth of Field
Film Clapper
Create a Dock Icon
3D Folder Icon

Hope that helps a little.
