I've noticed that when I add type to my photos, and get them back from the lab the type is ugly, and looks nothing like it does on my monitor. What am I doing wrong. I've seen photos which contain type, that look very nice.
Any suggestions? |

All I can think is that your "resolution" are not high enough for printing.
When you print, the pixels are very important. You will not see it on the computer, but you will see it in the printing... |

hi,
be nice to see the image your get back and also what font style and size you were using..
there few basic factors that determine how well type will look on a photo...
pixal deminsion of the photo..
printed size of the photo
font style and size ..
if you choose a font style and size where there stroke is only 2-4 pixals in width.... when you go print that image, and the image has to be resize smaller to fit on the printed paper... your going to lose pixals and the type may not look too good when finish....
my self i always try to use a good size font... a font style that generally thicker, and i may even apply "bold" to it to make more thicker... smiling... especially if i am using a thin type font style like signature..
why don'tyou try printing on your printer .. experiment alittle and see which font or attributes you need to get good reuslt for the size of photopaper you have them use.. |
