				Hello,

I have a PSD which needs to be converted into an HTML email - pixel perfect.

There is text which has a font size of 27px (according to the type tool). However the text only occupies a vertical line-height of 20px- I have measured it in Photoshop with the ruler calibrated in pixels.

How can this be possible because if I add up the vertical height of all the rows of the box that this text sits within, it exceeds the height of the box on the PSD, by 7px (i.e. 27px - 20px = 7px).

This is causing problems when coding the HTML email. I am indeed setting the font size to 27px and it looks correct but it is too big in terms of the total height of the box (that the text sits within).

Any explanation would be most appreciated.

Thank you |

				hi,

not sure if i am visualizing the issue correctly but first thing that came to my mind is the font style...

a ariel size 10 is different than let say a signature size 10 ...

so my first question is what font are you using? |

				hi,

first.. still having a issue visualizing however mayb come up with somthing that can help

1. first font size really has nothing to do with pixels!! has to do with points and not pixels....

that sort of why your numbers don't work out...

here.

this is shot article on this...

http://www.ehow.com/about_6502418_font-point-size_.html

2. what you might try.... and there could be other ways... bring up your character panel , either from the menue or there a toggle button at the top when in text mode ,,, and there, even though you don't don't change the point size but you can change physical sizes..... |
