I have a project that I want to create and use text on a path. What my specific request is how do I make the text stick to the path along the top of the text and not the baseline? In the image, the red is just my indication, but the top edge of "Restorations" needs to stick to the path which is approximately 1.4" outside of the huge logo all the way around, not the baseline of "Restorations." "Centennial" is easy, but I want the top of "Restorations" to act as a baseline.
I am using PSCS3 on a Win 7 x64 HP machine.
Thanks gang.

Without a doubt.
I really didn't think "Help" in Photoshop would supply the answer, but there it was. I've been active in Photoshop in all iterations since '6', at least ten years, and never have explored the Character palette, or "panel" as they now refer to it as, and so the answer was not glaringly obvious to me when I started this idea. It's for my own work and maybe will be on my site as a logo in some way, I haven't decided yet. I DO know that I wanted to finally explore the idea, and more than that, working a bit more with paths than I have been over the yeas.
I will also put together a small two or three minute video tutorial defining and performing how to accomplish this little trick for YouTube. I'm not sure this is allowed, but here is the address, http://www.youtube.com/user/kellyjdrummer1
It was very rewarding to find this solution in Photoshop itself. I was all over the web trying to figure this out.
Thanks 'thehermit.'
This is the final piece.

I'm pretty sure a link to your solution is valid, it might be nice to perhaps also submit it to this sites 'Tutorials' forum.
I don't get to work with typography, but it's always nice to find the solution to a problem and who would have thought that Photoshop would actually provide some assistance! (Not everyone has the iron will to plough through the help files)

I will do so. Thanks. I'm just about to start recording it as I type. My desktop recording software is updating. I'll look around the site for an appropriate placement when I finish.
Thanks again.
