hey.

Im currently studying IT and have come across a question with relation to cropping and creating a thumbnail image , the questions ask weather or not either of the 2 are related to reducing the sampling rate and or reducing the bit depth . can anyone help me answer these questions.

Cropping refers to the removal of unwanted areas from an image. (Usually the outer parts, to improve framing or composition)

A thumbnail is an image reduced in size (the number of pixels) to be used as a visual representation of the larger one.

The spatial sampling rate is the number of pixels per picture width and picture height.

Bit depth quantifies how many unique colors are available in an image's color palette.
