This might be quite simple. I am trying to make a rope segment that would look like the rope in ( http://www.letsmoondance.nl/ and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rgXxNnMaRI&feature=related ) when joined. I don't know much photoshop, can someone please help me. Thanks in advance.

Haha That first site is clever.

Photoshop wont actually animate the rope unless you specifically create an animation. This animation will not provide any interaction with the user like the samples you have provided.

To create a rope in Photoshop I would recommend using the pen tool coupled with a rope brush which can be found below.
