Hi
I am new to PS and am a little confused with how to get around an issue i am having. I have searched Youtube but the majority seem to be aimed at people with a bit more experience than myself.
Basically i am appyling blur to the picture below but when it comes to the tyres of the car and edges of the car i get the faint colours of whatever it is trailing behind the subject. Basically when i go round the tyres with the blur, it looks really obvious that i have if that makes sense. If you look at the shot below bottom left tyre and also the drives helmet you can slight trails/halo effect, that's what i want rid of.
I have tried lowering the opacity when filling the blur back in but i still get these faint trails but i have seen shots from others and they don't have these trails so it can obviously be done somehow. They only way i can rid them is by using full opacity but then it leaves and unblurred edge around the tyres. I hope this all makes sense and someone can help.
I have tried a few methods including masking etc but i can't work it out
Thanks in advance

Hi Scorz, welcome to the forums.
Which adjustment/filter do you use to remove/change the colors of the image? |

It's from a video so the colour correction was done inside After Effects |

Make selection of the car, save it in a channel. Load the selection and cut the car on it's own layer(Ctr-Shift-J). Go to background layer, load the selection of the car and fill the hole with Content-Aware fill. Deselect and apply Motion Blur to the background layer.
Now go to car layer and also apply Motion Blur(Ctrl-F). Load the selection of the car, invert it, choose Eraser tool and erase the parts in the front of the car and wheels where you don't need the blur running in front of the car.
Invert the selection, choose History brush, set History brush to the last History state in the History panel, set the brush mode to Behind and brush the parts of the car you want to be opaque(just behind the front oultines of the car: the hood, wheels, etc.) |
