i'm new to cs and one of the things that i find annoying on my new version is that an annoying transparent background comes up and i cant see the text. is there a way i can get rid of it? |

You can change the colors of the transparency grid very easily.
Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Grid (I think it's like Grid & Gamut or something like that. I'm not on a computer with PS right now.)
