Sometimes, but not always, when I crop a photo in CS6 on Windows the image turns negative making it very hard to crop properly. Any thoughts on why this happens and what I can do about it?

Sounds like a bug. Possible video card driver issue. Download the latest drivers.

Are you using the crop tool when this happens?

Yes, I am using the crop tool. Good thought about downloading the latest drivers. The strangest thing is that it doesn't always happen.

Yeah if it only happens occasionally then it sounds like a bug of some sort which could very well be related to your video drivers.
