I know that this is probably a routine procedure for Photoshop gurus, but I have an image that has an overlay that adds a gloss (it's for an icon file). However, all of my other icon files don't have a gloss and it sticks out like a sore thumb. I'd like to take this overlay out, however, the usual methods for removing a watermark don't seem to apply here. I have the overlay on file because the people creating this have used the same template. How can I negate the effects of this overlay?
Any help is very much appreciated, I am very OCD when it comes to the GUI of my computer.
