				| I'm looking for an idea (or even better - realization ) to make the following background more compatible with transparent banners (image of boots with text in this example):

As you may see, dumbbell is dark grey, surrounded with too bright colors. This makes text hardly readable, so in my opinion, there should be less contrast difference. I'm not sure what are the viable options here, perhaps you might have any nice ideas?

 Thanks!

Here is the source background: http://shrani.si/f/2U/12C/2yxAUglq/istock000004112327medium.jpg
And that's how website will roughly look like (with different background amongost other things of course): http://journal.digital-atelier.com/2/

				| It sounds simple and too easy (maybe it is) my instinct would say to reduce the alpha transparency of the background. Having rechecked you may have to adjust the text to a standard colour other than white._________________

				| Using darker text for banner is not a problem, but changing alpha transparency of the background... well, that might be a bit tougher for me . Should I do that in photoshop or in CSS, perhaps you may know of any good tutorials for that case?
But won't background just look darker in that case? Ideally, it would just be brighter in dumbbell area, but I'm not sure if that would be aesthetic.
